In a recent conversation with a fellow plate collector, the collector pointed out an interesting Minnesota plate. The plate was an ordinary looking Minnesota plate but it was also a rare type. The revoked Minnesota plate was issued only to those convicted of DUI or similar offenses. Authorities would be able to recognize the plate by the numbering sequence. Tom mentioned that in Ohio this type of plate is red on yellow which distinguishes it from other Ohio passenger plates. It’s sort of like wearing a “scarlet A” but not everyone knows what the “A” represents.
