Tom and I attended the Spring License Plate meet last weekend in Security (just south of Colorado Springs)…..lots of buying, selling and trading happened and it’s always good to see our plate collector friends.

This week we’re going to address trends in license plates….according to Colorado  License Plates The First 100 Years 1013-2013, “Since the American Bicentennial, the trend is toward graphic plates having computer generated scenes, slogans, or other elaborate decorations on the plates. The most recent trend since the early 2000s is toward completely flat plates without any embossing of the registration number or other features of the plates.” Collectors who like to have all of the various plates issued by a specific state are being given a real challenge.  Tom’s quest for a Pearl Harbor Survivor motorcycle license plate was a challenge for many years.
