This week the 1929 Alabama and 1948 New Mexico License plates are the current winners of oue Boyd weekly ebay auction popularity contest. Both are tough plates to find in reasonable condition from southern states. The 1948 New Mexico plate (https://www.ebay.com/itm/384265810179) has 27 Watchers and the 1929 Alabama (https://www.ebay.com/itm/363462206702) has 20 Watchers. It is interesting to note that among our auctions that are ending this week, these plates have the most interest but other plates with fewer Watchers have higher bids. The reason? The highly watched plates speak to general interest but if a few bidders need a specific plate to fill a hole in their collection, they are willing to bid more.
